Scott has over 16 years’ experience and specialises in advising NSW local government as a legal advisor on significant, projects and procurements. In recognition of Scott’s position as a leading Government lawyer, Scott was one of the first, and remains, a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Government and Administrative Law (with a particular focus on Government commercial and procurement transactions).Scott has taken the role of lead legal advisor to significant projects often incorporating legal, procurement and probity expertise on the same transaction.

Scott is experienced in drafting and then implementing key project documents including market sounding / engagement documents, industry briefings, RFTs, tender evaluation plans, tender evaluation reports, commercial contracts and agreements and legal advices to support decisions.

Scott is also highly regarded in the sectors of NSW Government, water and energy, transport (and ports), IT and IP, social housing, defence and construction and infrastructure. Scott has specific expertise in NSW local government projects, general contractual and legislative advice and the tendering process under local government legislation services procurement and infrastructure contracts and performance based  contracts.

Scott has acted for NSW local and state Government on literally hundreds of projects, of which only two have ever been audited by Treasury and ICAC and both times they have withstood the highest levels of scrutiny and were in fact highly commended for the advice given and processes undertaken.
